Bad breaks and poor decisions aren’t the only things keeping you from success. Limiting beliefs make it difficult to reach your highest level of success, and they need to go. Finding that balance between being overly confident and limiting yourself is hard, but it has to be done. Here are 8 limiting beliefs that are keeping you from success. 

I’m Not Good Enough

Are you really not good enough, or are you just unsure of what will happenBelieving you don’t have what it takes to succeed is going to keep you from success. Start to really look at the positive qualities that you have and how they are going to help you reach your goals. Use these to motivate yourself. 

Mistakes are Failures

Without mistakes, flops, and wrong turns, you’ll never make it. Nobody has a straight path to success. View mistakes as opportunities to learn and grow. The life experiences you get are invaluable. The most successful people have made many mistakes and failed many times. 

Success is Only For The Lucky

There are some successful people who got very lucky. They were in the right place at the right time. They had family that set them up, etc. However, there will always be effort and strategy involved in success. You need these elements for it to work. 

It’s Too Late To Start

It’s never too late to start. If you let timing determine everything, there will never be a perfect time to achieve your goals. Instead, go ahead and start, and take pride in knowing you are one of the few who actually decided to go for it. 

I Can’t Risk Failing

Fear of failure is a major limiting belief. When you fear failure, you’ll get success far away. Instead, take the necessary risks because you will need to in order to reach your goals. If you don’t, you’ll stay in the same place with no chance to improve. 

I Don’t Need Anyone’s Help

Asking for help is not a sign of weakness. In fact, it’s the opposite. You’ll never accomplish all of your goals and reach success without asking for help along the way. Stop believing that asking for help is a sign of weakness or incompetence. 

I Must Follow Traditional Paths

Following traditional paths is easy. It’s the process everyone takes, and it will feel most comfortable, but traditional paths limit you. You’ll probably get a few comments from those around you about not following traditional paths. They are stuck in the same limiting belief pattern; let them stay there. You don’t have to.

Finally, it’s time to start convincing yourself that you have earned this. You deserve success as long as you put the time in. If the effort is there, the concept is there, and you have worked for it, start to change your mindset. Don’t limit yourself, as it will directly impact the amount of success you have.
